The Story of the chateau
The story of Rex Mathias Chateau began to be written between 1841 and 1843, when it was built by Juraj Bartal – Deputy Lieutenant of Bratislava County, imperial court councillor, and Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece. For the realisation of his ancestral seat, he chose an exclusive project by the renowned Viennese builder Anton Truman.
Today, this romantic chateau, together with its tranquil English-style park, is one of the country’s most beautiful gems.

A sprawling 13-hectare English park in Kráľovičove Kračany is a place where time has stood still. Quiet paths lead past a picturesque pond, its calm surface reflecting the beauty of ancient trees.
